2020 Event Details – July 25th, Gateway National Golf Course

We are looking forward to having you join us for our 27th Annual Golf Tournament this weekend. Due to the current Covid situation, we will be altering our usual day of tournament format to adhere with local restrictions for social distancing.

As we do not have email contacts for everyone who is registered to play, PLEASE SHARE THIS INFORMATION WITH EVERYONE IN YOUR GROUP.

Before the event:

-We ask that all groups arrive between 11:45 and 12:30.

-We are streamlining the check in process to avoid groups gathering in close proximity. To assist us in the registration process, you can pay your entry fee beforehand at www.ericwestacottfoundation.org. It is preferred and recommended that payment is completed in advance.

-Lunch will be provided through the golf course, however we will not be able to congregate under the pavilion or indoors to eat. Golfers will be provided with a hot lunch and beverages to be consumed in their cart with their foursome.

-We plan to have a shotgun start between 12:45 and 1:00 pm.

During the event:

-Golfers will be expected to adhere to the social distancing guidelines that we are all familiar with at this point. Masks are not required on the course, however we ask that you do have one with you if you need to enter the clubhouse.

-Beverage coolers will be placed every three holes around the course. Each cooler will have the lid removed to limit repeated contact throughout the day.

-Volunteers will be on the course to assist with different contests. Please be aware that these people have given up their Saturday to help our cause and be mindful of keeping distance with them.

When your round is completed:

-All groups will be asked to exit at the south end of the clubhouse behind the 18th green, which is closest to the parking lot. The course will have staff there to gather your scorecard and assist with unloading the carts.

-Unfortunately, we will not be able to host our dinner and awards banquet as we usually do. We have put together a snack package that you can pick up when turning in your scorecard. Included in the package is a gift certificate to The Corner Butcher, who would normally cater our banquet. These certificates will be redeemable until September 4th.

-Due to restrictions, we will not be able to congregate after the golf has concluded. All winners of raffles and contests will be notified by our foundation and prizes will be mailed or delivered to the winners by a member of our committee. We will post the winners on our website as well as our Facebook page.

We appreciate your understanding with the changes that we have made this year and we are extremely grateful that you have supported our event in this challenging moment in time. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to reply to this email and I will gladly address them as soon as possible.

Eric Westacott Foundation Golf Committee

The 27th Annual Eric Westacott Foundation Golf Classic is scheduled for July 25th this year. The event will be at Gateway National which offers St. Louis golfers the rare opportunity to return to the rich traditions of the game. Rolling links, separated by gentle mounds, meander through lush, green pasturelands.

In 2017, with help from people like you, we were able to raise over $20,000 to help Eric Westacott and his financial needs. It was a truly heart-warming presentation, and we are looking to do even more this year.

As out current situation evolves, more details will be released, but register now to save your spot for this year’s event.

    The Golf Tournament, which each year boasts the participation of over 100 participants and players from all over the Country, is in its 19th year.
